Arambol Beach
is both a rocky and a sandy beach and has
a sweet water pond right on the shore. Arambol

The main beach is lined with cafes and is good
for bathing. The smaller and less populated
beach in the north is more scenic and is a
good place to swim. This beach has white sand
and is flanked by steep cliffs on both sides.
Behind the second bay is a freshwater lake fed
by a small stream. The sulfurous mud of the
lake is said to have a healing effect if you
cover yourself with it and let it dry on you.

There are regular
bus services to Arambol beach which usually
ply between Arambol and Mapusa and also
between Arambol and Chopdem. It takes around
40 minutes to reach Arambol from Chopdem, a
distance of 12 kms. On market days, tourists
can take boats to Arambol. To move locally in
Arambol, tourists in Goa can hire taxis or
bikes which is easily available.
