Baga Beach is an exotic beach along
the coastline of Goa flanked by the
emerald waters of the Arabian Sea. It
offers the tourist scenic, unspoiled and
pleasant environment. Baga Beach is
admired for its lapping white waves,
pleasant romantic winds and the swaying
palm trees. Baga Beach is part of a
30-km stretch of beach coastline along the
west coast of Goa by the Arabian Sea
beginning at Fort Aguada as Sinquerim
beach and finally ending at Keri Beach.
The most exciting feature of Baga Beach
is its lively and vibrant nightlife.
Baga beach is also admired for varied
types of thrilling water sports and
fishing. Baga has the best range of
restaurants in Goa. The Baga River
flows down from one side of the Baga Beach
and offers a pleasant diversion for
children and water-sport enthusiast. At
the place where the river and the sea
meets on the far right bank, one can see a
group of black rocks against which the sea
crashes

Baga Beach has developed
more rapidly than any other region in Goa. The
main road running through the Baga village is
lined with several bars, tandoori terraces and
handicraft shops.
The relatively newer Saturday flea market of
Baga lasts well into the night, brightly lit
up with lights and paraffin lamps. All kinds
of odds and ends, handicrafts, jewellery and
snacks stalls can be found at Baga and a
temporary stage is constructed for the
visiting local musician. Baga's nightlife is
the liveliest in Goa and is the perfect
expression of the Goan and Western mix of
culture.
Location Access : Baga beach is
situated to the north of Calangute Beach and
at a distance of 10 kms from Mapusa, 15 kms
from Panaji and 51 kms from Dabolim airport.
Beach Activities : Baga beach also offers
an opportunity to enjoy water sports such as
Paragliding, Wind surfing, Snorkelling and
Swimming. Baga's nightlife is the liveliest in
the area. Most of the revellers end up at
Tito's and Mambo’s located on the Baga Beach.
The long stretch of Sinquerim-Calangute-Baga
beach is a nice place to walk during dusk and
dawn. There is an endless line of shops,
restaurants and hotels that add colours to the
silvery sands.
How to Reach : There are frequent bus
service to Baga from Panaji and Mapusa. The
nearby places can be reached by hiring
motorbikes, or by taxis or auto rickshaws
