The beach at Kaup is cleaner than the one at Malpe. Probably because there are fewer visitors and tourists. The water appeared to be cleaner and was more appealing than at Malpe. The Kaup beach also houses a Light house, entry to which is permitted between 9 am and 6 pm. 

Kaup beach in Karnataka is located on the coastal belt which passes through the West Coast National Highway and is only 12 kilometers away from Udupi. Kaup is the perfect venue for organizing picnics with family and friends. You can also enjoy some water sports or swimming in the sea water.

How to reach Kaup Beach: Kaup Beach is just 12 km away from the main city nearby Udupi. Also, buses and taxis are available all the time. However, it is not far from the railways station and airports.
